In today’s DIY culture, many artists and arts organizations want to manage their own websites without having to pay an arm and a leg for the privilege. WordPress is a free, easy-to-use content management system which allows people to take control of their web presence without spending an exorbitant amount of money or requiring a great deal of technical know-how. In this webinar, we will explore how artsts and arts organizations can use WordPress to take control and manage the content of their own websites.

  • The benefits and challenges of using WordPress to manage your site
  • The difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com
  • The nuts and bolts for basic usage as well as more complex features like embedding ticket sales and donations
  • How to work with themes in order to customize the look and feel to maximize your brand

    Ceci Dadisman is the arts marketing go-to gal! She is the Director of Marketing at Palm Beach Opera where, in addition to all of the usual marketing duties, she manages all aspects of the company’s technology and new media projects, including social media, website, iPhone app, and live web streaming. During her time at Palm Beach Opera, she has brought Palm Beach Opera to the forefront of the social media and new technology realm proving that companies of all sizes and budgets can do great things in the world of digital marketing. Ceci was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA – home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, sandwiches and salads with french fries on top, and some of the top arts organizations in the nation. She graduated from West Virginia University (let’s go Mountaineers!) with a music degree in vocal performance and is a professional singer.
